PROJECT DESCRIPTION

A scholarly documentation of the musical works of Wolfgang Amadé Mozart was first made in 1862 by Ludwig Ritter von Köchel. The numbers of the so-called Köchel catalog are still valid today. A new edition of the catalog, prepared by Neal A. Zaslaw (Cornell University), is currently being edited at the Mozarteum Foundation. This new version of the catalog will be published by Breitkopf & Härtel, its original publisher. In order to meet the demands of the digital age, an online version of this catalog is in preparation, which will later include the creative legacy of all other members of the Mozart family, Leopold Mozart and Franz Xaver Wolfgang Mozart in particular.
